How to use

Enter your target keyword and paste your page content. The density percentage, occurrence count, and total word count update instantly.

  1. Enter the keyword or phrase

Type the keyword or key phrase you want to analyse. Multi-word phrases work — the tool counts how many times that exact phrase appears in the text.

  2. Paste your page content

Paste the body text of the page — not the HTML, just the visible text. The tool counts every occurrence of the keyword in the pasted text.

  3. Read the density result

A density of 1–3% is generally considered healthy. Below 1% may mean the keyword is under-represented; above 3% risks being flagged as keyword stuffing, which can hurt rankings.

Examples

Checking keyword density in a blog post

Paste the full text of a blog post and enter the target keyword. If the density is below 1%, the keyword may not appear naturally enough for search engines to associate it with the topic. If it is above 3%, consider rephrasing some mentions to use synonyms or related terms.

Auditing a competitor page

Copy the visible text of a competitor page and check the density for a keyword you are both targeting. Comparing your own content density to theirs can reveal whether their higher ranking correlates with more or fewer keyword mentions.

About this tool

Analyse keyword density in any text by entering a keyword or phrase and your page content. The tool counts how many times the keyword appears, how many words the text contains, and calculates the density as a percentage. The status indicator flags whether the density is too low, healthy, or at risk of keyword stuffing. Nothing is uploaded.
