How to use
Select a source image, pick the target format, adjust quality if needed, and download the converted file — all in the browser with no server uploads and no waiting.
Upload the image you want to convert
Drag and drop or click to select a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file. The original format and file size are displayed so you can gauge what the conversion will save.
Choose the target format and quality
Select PNG for lossless output, or JPEG or WebP for compressed output. For JPEG and WebP, use the quality slider to balance file size and visual fidelity — a value around 80–85 is a good starting point for most images.
Download the converted image
Click Download to save the result. The filename is updated automatically to reflect the new extension. If you converted a transparent PNG to JPEG, the transparent areas will have been filled with white.
Examples
Converting a PNG logo to WebP for the web
Upload a high-resolution PNG logo, select WebP at 90% quality, and download a file that is typically 30–50% smaller than the original PNG while remaining visually indistinguishable — ideal for use in HTML img tags on a website.
Converting a WebP photo to JPEG for email
Some email clients and older apps do not support WebP. Upload the WebP photo, select JPEG at 85% quality, and get a universally compatible file ready to attach to an email or submit to a form that requires JPEG.
About this tool
Convert images between PNG, JPEG, and WebP formats entirely within your browser using the Canvas API. When converting to JPEG — which does not support transparency — a white background is automatically composited so no pixels are lost. A quality slider lets you control the compression level for JPEG and WebP output. No file is ever uploaded to a server; everything runs locally, keeping your images private and the conversion instantaneous.
